On these 1 hour shows we delve into stories, challenges, and triumphs as we lay the foundation for fathers. Robert and Clarence discuss their different perspectives from farm life, to raising a family in Chicago, to race and family struggles.

In this episode, we introduce ourselves and explain what this podcast is all about, particularly as we dive into exploring the essentials of fatherhood. We also discuss our different backgrounds and shared the vison of this podcast. We wrestled with a definition of Fatherhood and defined it.
In this episode, we define Fatherhood and how execute the duties with intentionality. we are discussing all the ways we are called to protect. Robert is rising his family in Chicago and all the ins and outs of covering his family in an urban vs suburban context. Clarence has raised his kids but has now found himself a live-in grandparent. We are to protect from external and internal threats and we shared unique first-hand stories of raising mixed kids and navigating this.

Many have never seen a man lead in this capacity, but many have seen men not father well and have learned what not to do. What does the Bible say about raising up children? God has given His standards and methods, but what are they?
In this episode, we examine most parent courses which focuses on behavior modification vs a change of the heart. We must confront compromise and uphold truth and defend our family as a watchman. Men are responsible to build their family, but how? We discuses being a father, a dad can be the greatest gift in the world. Can can you be a hero to your kids? We discussed a few examples from our own kids and how we have a different relationship with them than their mothers.
In this episode, we talk about bad examples of men in history. Men that were godly, but then had wicket sons- and how did this happen? How do we avoid this? We took a hard look at who is raising your children and use ours as an example.; and when does it stop. Children are easily lead astray, tossed around and deceived; they will do whatever seems right to them, so we must lead them. It is much harder to live in the moment, but this is what our kids need from us and can can this be done?

We looked at the difference between an invested Father and one who is not and how to be the former. We must celebrate our kids and we discussed a few ways. We also talked about the uniqueness of our own kids and how each needs to be challenged, encouraged and pushed in their own way.

We looked at a football coach, Jim Harbough from Michigan University as well as an NFL the head coach. He was interested in winning but also down the road what kind of men his players would be- this was how he would measure real success. He modeled for his players what a Father looks like. What can you do if you have no Father?
